Greetings to you, narrative games fanatics!

Over the past months as the pandemic has raged, we have received many questions and requests for updates about NarraScope. When will NarraScope return? Will NarraScope return? What is the committee’s favorite sea shanty? The time has come to provide at least some of these answers, as we have been working hard to update the conference for 2022.

As a result, we are pleased to announce that NarraScope 2022 will run from 30-31 July, 2022. The event will, as with the 2020 conference, run entirely virtually out of an abundance of concern for the safety and security of our guests and our commitment to making NarraScope as accessible to as wide a swath of attendees as possible. Much as in 2020, NarraScope talks will be broadcast online, and we will use the NarraScope Discord to facilitate the important interactions between conferencegoers that are so important both to you and to us.

Talk Submission

If you would like to submit a talk to NarraScope 2022, we request that you please do so via our submission page. The deadline for submission is 22 April 2022. If your talk is selected, you should expect to hear back from us by 6 May 2022, which will leave you plenty of time to prepare.

NarraScope primarily supports three kinds of talks:

  • Lightning Talks (~15 minutes)
  • Short Talks (30 minutes)
  • Full Talks (60 minutes)

We are open to panel discussions, and request that if you submit a proposal for a panel discussion to please (ideally) have some idea about who the participants will be, if possible.

Future Updates

We have much more to share with you about NarraScope 2022 as the date of the conference grows nearer, but we wanted to get this good news out as soon as possible so that you can start planning your talks, not booking your nonexistent airfare, and starting to craft the “Do Not Disturb” sign that you’ll hang on your office door during the duration of the event. Stay tuned, and thank you as always for your love and support.
